Orders Page -Tags

This article explains the "Tags" feature and its purpose on DesktopShipper's Orders page.

What is a tag?

A tag is a label assigned to a piece of data (in this case, an entire order). DesktopShipper tags consist of an icon and a phrase.

Why use tags?

Shippers can use tags as a filter to load the order grid with only orders that possess the selected tags using the Tags filter (along with other filters if used).

Viewing the Tags in the Order Details

1. On the orders grid located on the Orders Page, select an order and click the  icon to display the order details.
   
2. Click on the tab. Notice that the number of tags assigned to the order appears on the tab header.
3. The associated tags are displayed to the right of the action buttons. Click to remove a tag from the order.
   

How Do I Create a Tag?

Tags can be created in two locations: From the tab in the order details or the Advanced Search feature.

Use the Create Tag on the Tags tab in Order Details.

1. On the orders grid located on the Orders Page, select an order and click the  icon to display the order details.

1. Click the button below the filters section on the left side of the Orders Page.
2. Create a new search query 
3. Add values to the search
4. Append the values to the filter

Create Tag Window

• Name - enter a unique name for the tag.
• Icon - select one of the available icons to represent the tag.
• Color - Select one of the available colors for the tag.
• Click when done.

How to Assign a Tag

To assign a tag to an order, use the tab in the order details section and click

How to Set a Tag Filter

• Select each tag you want to use to filter the orders grid. 
• Clicking the icon will delete the tag from the Tags filter.

Tags in the Shipping Window

Tags associated with an order are displayed toward the top of the Shipping Window. Rolling over the tag will display its name.
